When results stall, the cause is rarely one program.
Student data may reveal the symptom, but the root cause often sits deeper-in curriculum alignment, instructional routines, intervention placement, progress monitoring, coaching, leadership follow-through, or school culture. Roots & Results® helps leaders see the whole system and decide what to strengthen first.

Misalignment
Curriculum, assessment, intervention, and professional learning are pulling in different directions.

Inconsistency
Strong practices exist, but they are not yet reliable across classrooms, grade levels, or campuses.

Fragmentation
Teams have data and resources, but no shared routine for turning them into timely action.
The Six Roots
Lasting results grow from strong roots.
The Roots & Results® Framework helps school systems examine six connected conditions that shape teaching, implementation, and student success.
Foundational Literacy
Build the language, decoding, fluency, knowledge, and writing foundations students need to access increasingly complex learning.
Tier I Instruction
Make high-quality, standards-aligned instruction clear, consistent, and accessible in every classroom.
MTSS & Intervention
Match support to student need without allowing intervention to replace strong Tier 1 instruction.
Leadership Systems
Create the routines, roles, decisions, and follow-through that sustain implementation.
Teacher Expertise
Build knowledge and skill through relevant learning, coaching, practice, and feedback.
School Culture
Develop shared beliefs, expectations, relationships, and habits that reinforce adult and student learning.
